Bagenstose v Preface This volume describes approximately 350 fungicides, biocides and preserva tives which are currently available for industrial and agricultural usage. The book will be of value to industrial and agricultural, technical and managerial personnel involved in the specification and use of these products. It has been compiled from information received from numerous industrial companies and otherorganizations. The data included represent selections from manufacturers' descriptions made at no cost to, nor influence from, the makers or distributors ofthese materials. All products have U.S. Environmental Protection Agency registration numbers, indicating the EPA has approved product labeling, without which the product may not be sold, legally, in the United States. It should be noted that all prod ucts cannot necessarily be sold in every state in the U.S. Some states have certain restrictions on formulations permitted for use. It is the responsibility of the user to check with the manufacturer as to whether any of these restric tions applies in aparticular geographic location. Only the most recent information has been included. It is believed that all of the products listed here are currently available, which will be of utmost inter estto readers concerned with product discontinuances. Products are presented by company, and thecompanies are listedalphabetically. The table of contents is organized in such a way as to serve as a subject index to the book. Also included are a Trade Name Index and a Chemical Name In dex, for easy and rapid location of products bythe reader. In addition, another section, which will be useful, contains the Suppliers' Addresses. It can be found immediately following the Product Information section. vii viii Preface The book lists the following product information, as available, in the manu facturer's own words: (1) Company nameand product category. (2) Trade nameand product numbers. (3) Product Description: a description of the product, as presented bythe supplier. (4) EPA registration number. This book should prove to be valuable as a guide for the industrial and agri cultural communities. My fullest appreciation is expressed to the companies and organizations who supplied thedata included in this book. Newburyport, Massachusetts Ernest W.
