After an initial interview, she failed to reestablish contact in order to tum over materials for scrutiny as had been agreed upon. The Edmonton Sun (Canada) inquired about the release of UFO documents by the Canadian Government. The Fund disseminated a press release regarding the closure of the British Flying Saucer Bureau. Three radio interviews have been done this quarter, however, office activity remains low. Press Newsletter Eleven issues of The UFO Report have been distributed to the press. There has been virtually no feedback and nothing to indicate that reporters are using The UFO Report as a source of information. Unfortunately, concurrent with the time that The UFO Report has been issued, there has been little UFO activity. Publication of The UFO Report will be suspended, but may be revived on short notice if conditions should change. Future Research and Study of UFOs The FUnd is exploring a close<l conference with top UFO "thinkers,-to explore a course to help resolve the UFO mystery. The goal would be to generate new ideas or promising avenues of research that might lead to increased interest among mainstream scientists and academicians. Letters will be sent to board members asking for their input. Conference Dr. Peter Resta has an upcoming conference entitled 2001: A Space Odyssey: Explorations of the ET Question to be held at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland on 27 October 2001. Greer's "Project Disclosure" Dr. Steven Greer's press conference on Day 1 of his "Project Disclosure" drew extensive · coverage. Military witnesses and others presented testimony describing UFO encounters. -~ Greer ao.d_his witnesses received a large amount of press coverage, including BBC Internet site, CNN, UPI Wire News, FOX Evening News, NBC, ABC, CBS, and WTOP Radio, and articles appeared in the Washington Post and the Washington Times. The 500 page document containing witnesses' testimony is entitiled Disclosure: Military and Government Witnesses Reveal the Greatest Secrets in Modern History and can be obtained from the Disclosure Project's web site: www. disclosureproject. org New Proposals Angela Thompson Smith has contacted the Fund about publishing Paula Underwood's writings. The late Paula Underwood was a Native American with knowledge ofNative American philosophies. The writings concern the mythology of early Americans' interactions with the so-called Star People. Steve Kaeser proposed the creation of a new CD containing several classic CUFOS reports (Kelly-Hopkinsville and Bloecher's 1947 catalog plus one Fund report). This would be done jointly with CUFOS and the Fund. Ramey Letter Interpretation Efforts are continuing to find independent analysts from outside the UFO field to examine the wording on the famous document held by Gen. Ramey in the 1947 Fort Worth photograph. Publications Wendy Wolfe's report on abductions among Australian aborigines is ready for publication. Eddie Bullard's The Sympathetic Ear will hopefully be ready in its new incarnation for the MUFON Symposium in July. _.. ..
