No. 7202 Tree Pruning Dec 8, 1995 Five areas in the southeast part of the city were bid, and scheduled to be completed in 1996. These areas are sections 401, 402, 403, 404, and 405. The alternate bids were chosen to insure the best pruning of the trees. Sections 401 with 1225 trees, and section 402 with 489 trees and 404 with 1062 trees should be awarded to Pence Tree Service, the low bidder. Section 403 with 2645 trees should be awarded to Fort Wayne Tree, and section 405 with 1993 trees should be awarded to Maxwell. These last two areas should be given to the second lowest bidders. These two areas were not given to the lowest bidder because it would be impossible for that company to do all 7414 trees in 1996. By awarding 2 sections to the second lowest bidders, it will assure that all of the trees in the southeast section of the city will be completed in 1996. 401 1225 trees $20,335.00 Pence 402 489 trees $ 4,865.75 Pence f 404 1062 trees $27,612.00 Pence A 2776 trees $52,812.75 Pence ZE a a, 403 2645 trees $69,193.20 Fort Wayne 405 1993 trees $51,259.96 Maxwell Total 7414 trees $173,265.91 705 EAST STATE BOULEVARD FORT WAYNE, INDIANA, 46805 219-427-1270 DIGEST SHEET TITLE OF ORDINANCE: Special DEPARTMENT REQUESTING ORDINANCE: Purchasing SYNOPSIS OF ORDINANCE: An ordinance approving the award of I.T.B.
