NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF FORT WAYNE, INDIANA;
SECTION 1. That Reference #979 between the City of

TRUCK-N-TRACTOR ELECTRIC, INC. for the City Utilities
Garage, respectfully for:
the purchase of alternators, generators
and starters for the City fleet during

involving a total cost of Twenty Thousand and no/100+/-
Dollars ($20,000.00+/-), all as more particularly set forth

THE CITY OF FORT WAYNE, INDIANA, IS REQUESTING BIDS FOR ALTERNATORS,
GENERATORS AND STARTERS FOR THE CITY FLEET THROUGH THE C U GARAGE.
IT IS NOT THE INTENT OF THIS BID TO EXCLUDE COMPETITIVE BIDS BY ANY
VENDOR(S) RENDERING FIRST RATE, TOP QUALITY REPAIR PARTS AND SERVICE
UNDER SPECIFICATIONS HEREIN.
ALL REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE TO BE EQUAL TO THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT LEVEL
OR BETTER. j
PARTS COST TO CITY WILL BE PRICED AS JOBBER PLUS OR MINUS A PERCENT-

SUBJECT: Bidders Representation
Included with our bid to the City of Fort Wayne for the Starter and
Alternator agreement for 1991 is our commitment to the staff of the City
Utilities Garage to provide quality built starters and alternators; timely
delivery when those units are needed; a choice of either a 6 month, or a
1 year warranty line on all units we provide; and a cost-efficient pricing
arrangement reflecting a lower unit cost than can be provided by other
sources.
As of January 1, 1991 we will be expanding to a larger location at
709 East Washington St. To better service our customer. With this expantion
we have added an employee with 18 years experience in the starter alternator
field. With this addition to the company we'll provide better service in 1991
We are also close to the City Utilities Garage and we our commited to
providing quick response to deliver, or pick-up, repair and return. We will
provide timely deliveryof starters and alternators and extend our services
to include those special circumstances and emergency situations whereby we
are available on call whenever the City of Fort Wayne needs our services.
As part of our commitment we provide a service representative on a
regular basis each week to report to the City Utilities Garage to see to it
that all starter and alternator needs are met. In addition, we provide
special assistance when necessary.
The T & T organization is a full service starter and alternator manufac-
turer with complete stocks in Domestic, Foreign and Import, as well as Diesel
offerings. Аз you know, we stock a number of related auto electrical lines
including batteries, ignition parts, wire sets, voltage regulators, etc.
We at T & T Electric have been proud of our relationship with the people
at the City Utilities Garage in the past, and we are sincerely looking forward
to continuing a positive working relationship with the City of Fort Wayne
in 1991.
