Daley Manny was a helper. Once, Manny was going to one ofhis apartments to talk with a tenant who had not paid the rent for several months the tenant indicated that he could not pay and wanted to know what he might do Manny began to . . . . . . explain, in a very animated, enthusiastic and helpful way, every nuance ofthe eviction procedure, what legal recourse the tenantcouldpursue, whatagenciesthetenantcouldcontact forassistanceandthen said “Ifthereisanythingelseyou needto know I’ll be glad to help you find the answer!” . . . that was Manny. — as told by Charles Symonds In the early fall oflast year, GHS was thrown into shock with the passing ofschool librarian Manny Martins. Manny was really much more than a librarian. He was someone who truly cared about all ofthe people around him and was willing to help in any way he could. The senior class will remember him most as the person who considered being our class advisor an honor when other faculty members were reluctant to take on the responsibility. Manny, this yearbook is yours for the enthusiasm and sincerity you showed in carrying out your many projects. 2 31 Table of Contents Baby Pictures p. 17 Seniors 22 p. Faculty 67 p.
