For more than 140 years, depository libraries have supported the public's right to know by collecting, organizing, preserving, and assisting users with information from the Federal Government. The collections contain information on careers, business opportunities, consumer information, health and nutrition, legal and regulatory information, demographics, and countless other subjects reflecting the activity ofthe Government, inprint, microform, CD-ROM, and online electronic media. Federal depository libraries are located in nearly every congressional district throughout the United States and its territories. Before visiting a depository library, call first to verifyhours ofoperation.
