By Cathy Johnson, 52 ne morning in my twenties I woke with the song Angel Eyes by Wet Wet Wet stuck in my head. It had been playing in my dream - and it felt significant somehow... I started reading up on dreams, angels and other spiritual topics, soon learning that coins and feathers were often signs from the angels. After that, I regularly found both wherever I went. [also started keeping a dream diary and, to my amazement, the dreams I recorded would sometimes come true. Like the time I dreamt of my boss saying a certain strange phrase and noted it down, only for him to say those exact words in a meeting the next day! Or when I dreamt of a friend coming to my door carrying a letter with rabbits on. When I looked up the meaning of rabbits in my dream dictionary, it turned out they were associated with feeling hurt or fateandfortunemagazine.co.uk sound therapy a vulnerable. Soon after, the friend I’d dreamt of turned up at mine in a real state. Then one day in 2007 I'd just dropped my sons Aaron, then nine and Shaun, seven, at school in Herne Hill, London, and was hurrying to my job as a civil servant when a petite middle-aged woman in a green jacket stopped me and asked, ‘Can you tell me the way to Brixton?’ I’d just turned my head to point her in the right direction when I felt two strong hands on my shoulders, lifting and rotating me 180 degrees, until I was facing completely the other way. ‘What the...’ I spluttered, just as I heard an eat-splitting cacophony of breaking glass and crunching metal. A yellow open-top sports car had careered round the corner and straight into someone’s front wall, sending bricks and debris everywhere — including the spot where I'd just been standing. Me using Luckily the driver was OK and, thanks to whoever had moved me to safety, I hadn’t a scratch on me either. The petite lady who'd asked for directions had been the only one close enough to spin me around and I turned to see where she was - only to find she’d completely vanished! As I walked away, shaken, I realised she must have been an angel. Three years on, the angels stepped in again when I was made redundant. I prayed for a job in a school or college to come up, so I wouldn’t have to worry about childcare in the school holidays. When nothing was available, I went for a full-time job in a law office. It was only when the lady offered me the position she said the job was term time only! ‘We didn’t put that in the ad as then you get people applying just because of the hours, she explained. I call myself an extroverted introvert. I’m bubbly but will shut down when things are tough. I'll only speak about problems once I have worked out a way forward by myself.
