PRIMARY AGRICULTURE Climatic conditions in the province make it possible for B .C .’s and up 13 .2 percent over the previous five year average . farmers to grow well over 200 commodities . AQUACULTURE AND COMMERCIAL FISHERIES Aquaculture farm gate sales, from farmed salmon, $0 .4 billion . B .C . producers led the nation in sales (in 2013 – clams, oysters, scallops, and other cultured shellfish, the most current national data available) of cultured salmon, finfish and marine plants, totaled more than $0 .4 billion wild salmon, halibut, rockfish, skate, dogfish, hake, tuna, and commercial fishing landed values totaled just over other wild crabs, farmed clams, oysters & scallops . FOOD AND BEVERAGE PROCESSING The province’s food and beverage manufacturing sector $8 .5 billion in sales in 2014, an increase of 7 .2 percent over is among the largest in the province, generating just over 2013 and 12 .1 percent over the previous five year average .
