Known first asToronto BibleTraining School and then asToronto Bible College, the school was located nearthe UniversityofToronto. Itsfounding presidentwas Rev. Elmore Harris, ministerofthe historic Walmer Road Baptist Church and a member ofthe Massey-Ferguson family. LondonCollegeofBibleandMissionswasfoundedin 1935byDr.J.WilmotMahood.Whenin 1968thetwoschoolsmerged,theybecameOntarioBibleCollege.In 1976,thecollegemovedtoits presentlocationinNorthYork.Thedevelopmentofthegraduateschool,OntarioTheologicalSeminary, evolvednaturallyoutofademandbychurch,missionsandstudentsforagraduatelevelstudyprogram. Tyndale isan evangelical, trans-denominational school with over 1,200 students and some 10,000alumni. The Crest of Tyndale University College & Seminary The nameTyndale istaken from the fatherofthe English Bible, WilliamTyndale (1494-1536).
