_LES.R. SLE). — In exercise of the powers contt-red by the proviso
tw article 309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the Central Civil
Accounts Servite (Group “Cy Recruitment Rules, 200%, in so far as thoy
relate to Lower Division Clerk, execpt as respects things done or omitted lo
be dane before such supersession. the President hereby makes the following
rules regulating che methad uf recrnitment co the posts of Lower Division
Clerk in the Central Civil Accounts Service, namely:

1. Short ile and Commeneemen(— J) “These rules _may
be called the Central Civil Accounts Service (Lower Division Clerk Group
*C° post) Reetuitment Rules, 2010,

(2). They shall come inte force on the date uf their publication in
the Oficial Gazette,

2, Definitions In these niles unless the context stherwise
requies—

(a) “Appointing authority" shall have the same meaning as
assigned lo In the Central Civil Services (Ciessification, Comrol and Appeal}
Rules, 1965:

{c} “Government” means the Government of India;

(a jon” means the Staff Selection Commission or any
other ceeruifing azency-for the cadres gavered by these rules, which the
Goverment may canstitule;

(© “Controtter General of Avcounts” means the Contratler Cease!
of Accounts in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance and
includes Additional Conttoller General of Accounts or Joint Covitrotler
‘General of Aecourts'at Deputy Controller General of Accounts or Assistant
Contryller General ef Accounts authorised. by the Comroller General of
‘Accounts to exercise powers tinder these rules;

(8 “Ministry” means a Ministry in the Coveunment of India and
includes Departments of the Ministry of an Office specified in the Annexure
fo these ruler;

(@)'_ “Schedule” means Schedule annexed to these rules;

{h) “Service” means the Cential Civil “Accounts Service (Group

3. ° Namber of posts. classification and pay band and grade
paylpay scale— The number of posts, their classification and pay band
and grade pay'pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns 2
od of the Schedule annexed to these rales,

4. Method of recruitment, age limit, edneational qualification,
ete — The method of recruitment, age limit, educatiunal qualifications and
other matlers relating there.o shall be as specified in columns 5 to 14 of the
Schedule amexed to these cules,

3. Regulation of Promotien— (1) Promiction in the cade of
Lower Division Clerk shall be regulated by the ‘Controller General of
Accounts as prescribed under this rule .
