NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th January, 1999
G. S. R. 38(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of Section 124, read with Sub-section (i) of
section 132 of the Major Ports Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Central Government hereby approves the Mumbai Port Trust
Employees (Leave) Amendment Regulations, 1999 made by the Board of Trustees for the Port of Mumbai and set out in the
Schedule annexed to this notification.
2. The said regulations shall come into force on the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
SCHEDULE
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of Section 28 of the MPT Act, 1963 (38 of 1963) and with the
approval of the Central Government under Section 124 (1) ibid the Board of Trustees of the Port of Mumbai hereby make the
following regulations further to amend the MBPTE (Leave) Regulations, 1975, namely—
1. (a) Short title and commencement : (1) These regulations may be called the Mumbai Port Trust Employees
(Leave)(Amendment) Regulations, 1999.
(b) They shall come into force on the date of the Central Government's sanction thereto in the Official Gazette.
2. In the MBPTE (Leave) Regulations, 1975—
' (a) In column (2 )of the First Schedule for the existing description of post at Sr. No. 1 substitute the following :
Class I—the incumbent of which is to be regarded as the Head of Department under
Section 24 of the MPT Act, 1963. Chairman
(b) Columns 2 and 3 of the First Schedule at Sr. No. 2 substitute the following :
All Class I posts other than HOD's posts and Class II posts Head of a Department
