NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st January. 1997
S.O, 1(E).—In pursuance of clause (a) of section (10)
of the Unit Trust of India Act, 1963 (52 of 1963), the Central
Government, hereby appoints, in consultation with the In-
dustrial Development Bank of India, Shri Gian Prakash Gupta,
Executive Director, Industrial Development Bank of India,
as the Chairman of the Unit Trust of India in the pay scale of
Rs. 8000/- (fixed) for a term not exceeding five years from
the date of his appointment or till the date of his superannua-
tion, whichever is earlier.
