And whereas, the said Gazette was mad: available to the public on the 23rd
July, 19yi>;
And whereas, no objections or suggestions have been received lioin the
public ;
Now. therefore, in exeicise ol the puweis eoulcrred by iUu.se (a) ol snb-
oCLtiun (1) ot section 0 ot the said Ad, the Central Government hereby makes

RULES
1. (1) These rules may be called, the Major Ports (Regulation ol Jintiy,
Sta\, Movement and Lxil ol Vessels) Amendment Rules, I'J'JU.
[2) They shall come into lone un the date ol their publication in
the oflicial Gazette.
2. In sub-rule (1) of rule 3 : —
(a) alter clause (e), the lolloping claube shall be inserted, namely :—
'(0 the fact that the vessel's condition is such, that it is likely to con-
taminate }">rt waters with pollutants, wastes, obnoxious or hu/mdous
or other suth substances."

Provided that, where a vessel which has not been permitted entry imn a
