Charles Street MD Baltimore, 21210 gis is all about more, and this year ere were more things to do on campus than you could fit into your schedule. SGA kicked off the year with a week full of events. There were speakers, International Festivals, free food, dances, comedians and much more. The Loyola community was brought together in a year full of fun and entertaining events. Not only were students excited about the events that occurred throughout the year, but they also had a chance to meet people, challenge themselves, and find their place in the Loyola munity. This year, students had the opporunity to do much, much more. -1 ••II 1 New Construction More than the eye can see By: Amanda Merson J^his year, Loyola experienced a face lift of sorts, adding new buildings, starting new construction projects, and renovating existing buildings. The biggest change was the construction of the new freshman dormitory. East Residence Hall, which opened this year. The new residence hall allowed for more freshmen to be accepted to Loyola; in fact, this year the school welcomed the largest incoming class in Loyola history. The Library also underwent renovations, with the addition of a movie viewing auditorium and additional study rooms. In addition, the old pool in the College Center was turned into the new Communication department, equipped with brand new Mac labs. A particularly exciting new project that began this year was the construction of the new stadium, which will no doubt change our Athletic Department as we know it today. All of this new construction allowed for more students, more events, and more space. it's the same place, with a new face. Much of the new construction focused on remodeling the old buildings; Butler got a paintjob and a new computer lab (Above). Alumni Chapel is home to a 9-1 Memorial and garden area (Top Right).
