The goal of this program is to instill in the children a desire to want to listen to the word of God and to fall in love with our Lord Jesus Christ and His message of salvation. The time has come to invest in our next generation and to encour- age our children to be a part of the Church’s mission of evangelism throughout the world. However, in order for them to be our future leaders in the church, they need to know how to get there and be ready for God’s calling. It is our duty to take the time to present this program in the man- ner that can best help the child and his/her family to be aware of what their future calling may be, and to facilitate their knowledge and understanding of the word of God with zeal and eagerness to follow in Jesus Christ’s footsteps. 6 I- SERVANTS…… Pray for your ministry to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you Spend time preparing and gathering material Be a role model and do what you preach Examine yourself and asses your class performance Be concerned as to whether the children are learning or not 7 II- UNITS Each unit has four weeks of lessons, a parent-child assignment, and a review that will help the child under- stand the basic idea of how to live a godly life and what the Church believes. - P - III ARENT CHILDREN ASSIGN- MENTS These assignments invite the parent and child to be a part of each other’s spiritual life and to learn about helping others together. 8 - R IV EVIEW The take-home review helps the child reflect on what he/she has learned and to share it with his/her family . Finally... It is a good idea to add your own touch at the end of each unit. Make a donation box and invite the children to bring new or used items from home as you are teaching the lessons. Items like a pair of shoes, old clothes, baby items, cans of food or household items 9 10
