Mr. Saulnier has dedicated 20y ears to the students at Essex Aggie not only as a teacher, a mentor and a Department Head but as an advocate for agriculture education and environmental studies and preservation. His students describe him as “... teaching with such enthusiasm that in his class you couldn't help but be inspired”. He has touched the lives of countless students and his impact on the students of Essex Aggie will continue well into his retirement due to his creation of the ES program in 1998. lass Advisers While it is not hard to believe that you have made it to this point, we cannot believe how fast your time at Essex Aggie has gone by. Howeveyrou all have at least a few more moments with us; your last dismissal bell has yet to ring. So please, Class of 2011, allow us to share some thoughts with you. When my sophomore math class tried to pressure me into becoming an advisor, | handed this piece of loose-leaf to one class member and said “I am not going to do this unless | am convinced that more than a quarter of the class want me too — fill this paper with names and then | will consider it”. Brandon came back with the paper filled in less than one school day. So | told them “ok, I'll do it...but stop asking teachers because | want to pick my own co-advisor”. | can remember Mrs. Dolan approaching me to become your class advisor with her. It was a tough decision and as awesome as Mrs. Dolan is; she wasn’t who ended up convincing me; it was the persistence of the dozen or so students who kept after me day after day that convinced me. That would be my message to you; persistence. With hard work, dedication and passion, you can and will accomplish anythinygo u desire. My favorite high school teacher always said that nothing is worth it... unless you earn it. So go out there and work hard; earn it. My advice to every student I have had for the last 1S years has never changed. Find somethinygou love to do — then find someone who will pay you to do it! My dad is someone that | have great respect for and he had two pieces of advice for me that he said would help me through my entire adult life. |) Its either somethinygou did or somethinygo u didn’t do; and 2) It’s usually not what you say; it’s how you say it. The words we have expressed to you tonight come with the greatest admiration and respect. While we will miss seeing you everyday here at school, we, like the other teachers and parents, understand that the time has come for you to move on past the boundaries of Essex Aggie and out into the world. Best of luck to you all! Spend your time wisely and with good people surroundiynogu . Find the thing that you love and make your time on the earth count. “and may the Force be with you” Congratulations class of 2011 Though this is my first year with you at Essex Aggie, it is obvious that you are enthusiastic, caring, and inquisitive. Your spirit will leave a lasting impression on the faculty and administrators as you leave to enter the world as young adults. You hay the compassion, intelligence, and problem solving abilities to be successful in whatever your future endeavors may be. You have the skills you need to be able be independent adults. You have each filled me with a sense of awe. You came to Aggie knowing where you wanted to go, and here you are, just steps away from th goals!
