Highlights (1) the unduplicated headcount for 2000-2001 was 60,884, while the include: (2) the full time equivalent student (FTES) enrollment count was 22,877; median age for fall 2001 was 24.9, compared with a median age of 26.6 in fall (3) the majority of the student population was female (54.7%) and White 1997; (4) 15.7% of students were Black, 13.5% Asian, 10.9% Hispanic, and (52.0%); (6) the College (5) 90.8% of students were in-state; 2.3% Native American; graduated 2,318 students in 2000-2001, an increase from the 106 graduates in 1966-67, yet a decline of 16% from 1996-97, when 2,753 students graduated; (7) 59.1% of graduates were female, while 58.3% of graduates were white; (8) the percentage of minority graduates rose from 32% in 1996-97 to 38% in 2000- (9) NVCC graduate surveys revealed that the median full-time salary for 01; graduates was $36,000 for the 31.8% of graduates who were employed; and (10) total maintenance and operations expenditures for the College were $106,695,472, with 9% of that going to administrative faculty, and 37.68% going to part-time and full-time faculty. This edition of the Fact Book is designed to serve as a readily available source of information about the College. As in the past, all the information from the previous editions is updated, following a similar format, in order to allow users to make valid comparisons based on longitudinal data. The NVCC Fact Book contains chapters on the College's student enrollments, graduates, Chapters 7 to 11 of the Fact Book personnel, finances and facilities, and support services. present the data for each of the five campuses separately. Data and information were also included from several College services, such as the Budget Office, Office of Facilities Planning and Support Services, Media Processing, and Student Benefits and Support Services.
