In the 2000-2001 school year, students in grades 1 through 9 were tested using the Stanford Achievement Test, Ninth One subtest in the academic content area of reading was Edition (Stanford 9) . administered to students in grade 12, and three subtests in the content areas of reading, language, and mathematics were administered in grades 2 through 9. This "State Report Appendix" provides school, district, county, and state-level scores representing typical student performance on the 2000-2001 administration of the Stanford 9. Sections A, B, and C provide separate scores, one for each subject tested. The three scores cannot be averaged together to produce one overall score for a school, district, county, or state. The scores are called "individual percentile" rank scores, and they indicate the estimated percentage of students nationally scoring equal to or lower than the average performance indicated for a school, district, county, or the state. One lengthy table is provided for each of the three subject areas. (SLD) Reproductions supplied by EDRS are the best that can be made from the original document.
