The program, a partnership between El Paso Community College (Texas) and Levi Strauss & Company, consisted of a three-level, job-specific, video-based curriculum for limited-English-speaking employees implemented at seven plants in El Paso. The 18-month model demonstration program used televised and self-paced instruction, and included support services to increase likelihood of program completion. The report details the program's implementation of 6 broad objectives and the 36 tasks designed to accomplish them. Performance evaluation measures and results are described, and some recommendations are made for further assessment and program development.
