In chapter 1 the Minnesota State Board of Education education values, learner values, and its philosophy, mission, and of goals. Chapter 2 contains a discussion of the roles and purpose social studies education. Chapter 3 ident;fies model learner outcomes for K-12 social studies education. The list contains only the program level outcomes and essential learner outcomes. Chapter 4 is concerned with how model learner outcomes can be integrated into the curriculum; specifically, it contains curriculum development models and strategies for evaluation.
