By 2 arranging the 61 AF points in a high concentration, the C level of composition freedom, and tracking performance h of fast moving subjects is improved. In combination with a p AI Servo AF III+, which incorporates a new algorithm, t e ensuring accurate focusing on a subject is possible. You r can also effectively set AI Servo AF features using the AF 3 Configuration Tool. Because you can choose from six C different presets, the correct settings are quick and easy, h a without all the trouble that comes from adjusting p settings for individual parameters to match the subject t e or scene. r 4 C h a p t e r 5 C h a p t e r 6 3 C O New algorithm of AI Servo AF III+ N T E N Improved support capability for difficult to T capture movement of subjects that come S close, then move away C h The main improved point of the AF system on the EOS- a p 1DX Mark II is the use of AI Servo AF III+ with an even t e more sophisticated predictive AF algorithm. For shooting r sports and wildlife with erratic movement, AI Servo AF III 1 capable of stable subject tracking was included in the C EOS-1D X. In cases where obstacles may obscure the h subject, and when the subject moves away from the AF a p point briefly, it is equipped with performance capable of t e tracking the subject. r With the AI Servo AF III+ included this time, support is 2 improved for subjects that approach then move away C suddenly, that had been difficult to focus on up until h a now. Movement such as motorcycles and racecars that p approach corners, to figure skating and speed skating. t e Even in cases like these, AI Servo AF III+ on the EOS-1D r 3 X Mark II is capable of continuously tracking subjects that move away from the camera. C Case 2 to 6 also provide improved support for subjects h a coming close, and moving away. p t e As predictive AF is improved in AI Servo AF III+, the r AF Configuration Tool [Case 1] can provide support 5 for a variety of shooting scenes. In addition, support C for movement such as coming closer and moving h a away suddenly in all Case 2 – Case 6 settings has p improved compared to the EOS-1D X. t e r 6 5 C O EOS-1D X Mark II AF setting N T operability E N T S All AF-related menu functions now in a separate menu C h Displays the tab position a p t e r AF-related setting items 1 in the AF menu C Tab name h a p t e r 2 C h a p t e r 3 C h a The AF1 tab includes p t the AF Configuration Tool e r 4 The AF1 tab is important when shooting moving subjects using the AI Servo AF on the EOS-1D X Mark II.
