Some of these resources are already listed in the Social Studies Teacfier Resource Manual, Grades 1-3, 1989 and the SocialStudies TeacherResource Manual, Grades 4-6, 1989, while others have been authorized since that time. Organization by Grade Within each grade and topic, annotated entries for Basic learning resources are listed first, followed by Support learning resources andAuthorized Teaching resources. General Learning Resources Following the lists for individual grades is a list of elementary social studies resources authorized for Division 1 and Division 2. These resources are listed alphabetically with Basic learning resources listed first, followed by Support learning resources and Authorized Teaching resources. Additional Information Lists ofteaching resources produced byAlberta Education, additional teaching resources, suppliers. Regional Resource and Urban Media Centres and a title index are included in this resource list. Updates Updates to this list will be provided periodically. Information on new resource authorizations is included in Connection, published three times a year and distributed to all jurisdictions and schools bythe Student Programs and Evaluation Division. Pricing Information Prices as of March 1994 are identified in each entry. Please contact the Learning Resources Distributing Centre (LRDC) orthe supplierforcurrent prices, including GST and shipping charges.
