This heifer has been graciously donated by Bob Hahn from HR Hahn Cattle Co. We
thank him for this outstanding red heifer calf. She traces back to his Revolt 35X bull
that has done him well at his place. On the top side, Red Hips Showboy 21N was a
very powerful individual that Hips Red Angus promoted on the show road.
Fundraiser Heifer Auction Procedure
1. The final bid in each round will denote the amount of that bidder’s donation.
e.g. Round 1 - Final Bid is $300.00 to Randy Mitchell. Randy’s donation is $300.00. Round 2 - Final bid is $250.00 to Tom Jones. Tom’s donation is
$250.00. Round 3 - The female is re-auctioned on a downward scale until no further bids are received at the low of $10.00.
2. Each $10 purchased (donated) represents once chance in the final draw.
e.g. Randy Mitchell has 30 chances. Tom Jones has 25 chances and so on down the scale to the final $10 donation worth one chance each.
3. One ticket for every $10 donated, bearing the contributor’s name will be put into a draw barrel.
4. At the end of the sale, one ticket will be drawn, with the person winning the heifer.
Welcome to the 36th Annual Northern Select Angus Sale
This year the club has made a few changes to this year’s sale. The date has changed to November 15 to accommodate all
participants that are out on the show road that they are able to consign or better yet come to the sale to find new genetics. We
are using DLMS this year to accommodate those folks who can’t make it sale day and wish to participate. We also have 4 steers
selling this year for those juniors looking for a project as well. All things said this year has a lot of new things as the club is being
more progressive.
As usual at the Northern Sale, we have a fundraiser heifer this year donated by Bob Hahn and many thanks to him and his
crew. The junior 10% discount is always available for those looking for great show prospects. And last the Northern hospitality is
second to none as you will find out when attending this year’s event.
The offering this year is good functional females, one herdsire, embryos, steers and rare semen opportunities. I always do
mention the new consignors we have this year, Arntzen Angus, Golden Sunset Ranch, Red Rush Red Angus, Crooked Creek
Angus and Angus Acres. The Northern always welcomes new consignors that bring us new bloodlines and fresh genetics.
I have been through all the herds and have selected what we feel is a very strong offering of Angus cattle to you the

SELLING 2/3 INTEREST, FULL POSSESSION.
Situation is one of those bull calves that we have been waiting for right
from breeding time. Stout 107U needs no introduction to the Red Angus
breed. He was the high seller in the Diamond T Exodus Sale selling to
Brylor and Triple S for $17,000.00 and then reselling in Denver a year later
as the high seller once again, selling for $39,000.00. Stout 107U progeny
have also been creating a real stir in both the US and Canada, with many
high sellers and many class winners at all of the major shows in the US.
Stout 107U is a paternal brother to Cowboy Cut and is a full sib to last
year's high selling heifer calf at Red Round Up at $15,000.00 for Diamond T and Blair's. Ag. Situation's dam is a
very powerful correct Fully Loaded daughter that comes from one of the most dominant cow families at Vikse
Family Farm that came from the Eggen program. She is a very voluminous cow that has all the correct angularity,
and a very true dark foot underneath of her. She was campaigned in 4H winning a lot of major shows for Cole. She
has been a stellar producer for us with other sons always selected first from our bull pen and we have added one
daughter into our herd to continue on her legacy. We feel that Situation could her best effort to date. Situation is
going to be a true calving ease deal. He was born with an 83lb birth weight and has a -1.9 BW EPD. He brings an
exciting pedigree with Stout and Fully Loaded in the forefront of his pedigree and also adding in Mr. Beef 805 into
the pedigree on the bottom side. Situation himself is a very hairy individual, is deep sided and very clean fronted,
and looking like he is going to have a very good foot under him like his dam.

A long bodied, nice fronted heifer out of 102X who

Lots 3 & 4 are very similar in make as they are both out of the Spickler Bull, S
Chisum 6175, a bull whose progeny have been very well accepted up in
Canada. We implemented Chisum into our program and he sure has done the
job for us. On the bottom side we have the famous Black Nance cow family
that is one of Everblacks best at their place. They always bring the best ones
to town. Bull calf by Final Answer will have little problems next January in the
calving barn.

dam as a heifer calf from Justamere Ranch and she has already done us a
great job, siring a herdbull for Waveny Angus and 1 heifer at home and now

Tiptop 15A comes from a great lineage of powerful cows. Country Lane Tiptop
11N was purchased thru this very sale ring 11 years ago from Archie. A
Bismarck daughter mated to a Final Answer will also give the new owner as

Red Cinder Lois 83R is a square brick of a cow. She is a smooth made female right
from her front to back, with a strong forerib and deep flank.Her udder has great
attachment and teat placement, and she is strong milker and great mother. Linda
Weins and Gerald Henkel are past buyers of some of her progeny. What also
makes this cow special is her service sire this year, Red Roy Rogers 5604. He is
the 2008 Denver NWSS and Fort Worth Grand Champion and we are the fortunate
ones to have access to the semen from this super neat son of Red Northline Rob
Roy 122K. This cow is preg checked safe to the AI date and due to calve 3rd week
of January. This cow and resulting calf will make a fantastic addition to anyone's
herd.

Biebird 447B is a long spined, smooth made heifer calf that has a super
disposition. A red K-C Mr E daughter, her pedigree is kind of cool with YY Knight,
Brylor Youngblood, and a Crowfoot Biebird cow. These Mr. E daughters have
superior udders and make great mommas with tons of longevity. Don Murphy and
Red Rush Angus have seen the benefits of owning Mr. E females, here's a good

Shawnee 33B is the first heifer calf from 9933, who will reach her elite dam status
with her first four calves. She has super EPD numbers if that's what your herd is
based on and a quiet nature for those that regard disposition high on their list.
Shawnee is a moderate, smooth muscled female that will milk like crazy. We
bought 33B's dam from the Diamond T dispersal and have loved her, her pedigree
and what she could offer our program. Can't forget that Shawnee Rio 9933 also
produced the Lotsa Fame bull that was Reserve Senior Bull Calf Champion at
Farmfair and was purchased by Brent Brewin at our 2014 On Target Bull Sale.

Purchased from Mic's Dispersal on the fall of 2012, we were searching for light
birth weight genetics. Bred to Connealy Consensus at the time, initially the
Endeavour ended in disappointment when she calved three full weeks early at
minus 40 degrees. Should not have but retained her and bred her to EXAR Upshot
0526B.....are we now glad! Her 2014 bull calf will be walking our pastures in 2015;
hence 66W has become expendable from our point of view. The genetics that were
sought are now available in her son. Bred back to Upshot, here is a young female
who has proven that she can deliver.
