Review is made of the feedback and gain enhancemnt mechanisms unique to
microdroplets. In particular, the growth of stimulated Raman scattering is
considered in the presence of two-photon absorption as well as the usual
optical losses inside the droplet because of scattering and leakage out of the
droplet cavity.
