alkenes under thermal and photochemical conditions. Organic sulfides containing anthracene components can undergo one electron transfer, two electron transfer and Diels-. Alder reactions. So we have selected (anthracen-9-yl)methyl sulfides, having 'acceptor-spacer-donor' geometry as the right.
