Everett, PhD, is a marriage and family therapist in private practice in Tucson, Arizona, and Director of the Arizona Institute of Family Therapy. In addition to his 20 years of experience in clini­ cal practice, he was formerly President of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Everett’s previous positions include Director of Family Therapy Training and Associate Professor at both Florida State University and Auburn University. He has been the editor of the Journal of Divorce & Remarriage (formerly the Journal of Divorce) since 1983 and is an editorial board member of six professional journals.
