And to Rich and Jade, MJ, Jenny, Hayley, Ryhannon, Bonny, Lucy, Ian, Woody, Blue, Tess, Liesl, and Bella, thank you very much for helping set up or appearing in the photos for this book. This book would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Megan Belanger, Cathleen Snyder, Ron Rockwell, JT Hiquet, Shawn Morningstar, Jenny Davidson, and the fine folks at Thomson Course Technology PTR, plus Neil Salkind, Stacey Barone, Linda Thornton, and the team at Studio B. Dave would like to thank Marc for saying, “Hey, you interested in working on a photography book?” and then being a top bloke to work with and the best possible guide to the world of publishing. Marc would like to thank Dave for offering his time, energy, talent, and humor in such abundance, for turning in stellar work on an impossible schedule, for being so consummately professional about it, and for thanking him in the previous paragraph. About the Authors Marc Campbell is a technology author, graphic designer, and instructor. His popular guides to computer graphics have appeared around the world in four languages. He spends altogether too much time at his computer. When he isn’t trying to beat a deadline, you can find him out and about in Center City Philadelphia or at home with the lights down and the phone ringer off, his nose in a story about Robin Hood. This is his tenth book. Dave Longof Canberra, Australia, has been a photographer for years. He went digital in 2004 and now works exclusively in the digital domain. His favorite subjects are the environment and animals, but he enjoys taking photos of pretty much everything. Rarely seen without a camera, he believes it’s important to capture and reflect on moments and situations. He is still trying to convince Marc that not all Australians are convicts.
