Description:Today, despite the advent of ICT and its application in most fields of human endeavors, manual system of information management still persist side by side with ICT. In libraries too, the story has not changed. It is against this background that concerted efforts are being made to ensure that computers are used in typing and printing of catalog cards as against the practice of using a typist and a typewriter or an electric typewriter in producing catalog cards by these authors. Moreover this attempt is aimed at making the work of the librarian and or information officer easier and cost effective. It is above all, limited to the production and printing of catalog cards of documents. It will be of immense benefit to all types of libraries using card catalog especially their catalogers who are in charge of cataloging and producing the card catalog.
