11/21/2018 DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR Mail - Temp Water Line Policy Rancher Update Layton, Cody <[email protected]> Temp Water Line Policy Rancher Update 4 messages [email protected] <[email protected]> Wed, Dec 20, 2017 at 3:22 PM To: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] Good afternoon, Wanted to follow-up from our Dec. 12th meeting. All in all, I think it went well. There was a heated moment here and there but all ended well. Attached for your review is the latest redlined version of the policy as per discussion during meeting. There are only a couple of significant changes: · The ranchers wanted more emphasis somewhere in the document that the operators of the line would coordinate closer with ranchers on route of the temp lines. o That edit is on page 4. We took line item #5 and moved it to #1 with added language. · There was a concern by industry as to when the clock would restart if trespass issues occur. o There is added language on last page (page 8) that states clock starts 3 years after first trespass is issued. Next steps: · BLM to review · Cody to get with Jim Stovall to review the document and get concurrence with Jim prior to Jan. 9th SENM PLA meeting. · Targeting release of document for use after SENM PLA meeting. Probably a Jan. 15th date. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns with V4 of the policy. Thank you! Wishing you and yours Happy Holidays!!
