This professor is none other than Dr. Charlie Weber. After earning a B.S. in Chemistry from (then) Philadelphia College of Phamiacy and Science and receiving a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University ofPennsylvania, Dr. Weber decided to become a part ofDelaware Valley College in 1969, ^vhere he is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry. For most of his time with us at Delaware Valley College, Dr. Weber has been the analytical chemist on campus, and he has taught numerous courses, such as Analytical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, General Chemistry, General Chemistry and even Chemistry II He Fundamentals. has not only taught during the school year but he has also O shown commitment to the college by teaching courses during the summer when needed, courses such as Principles of Organic Chemistry (lecture and laboratory). As if teaching those courses was not enough work for him, he even went on to develop nev^ courses, like Introduction to Biomedical Instrumentation and Radioisotope Techniques. He has served on both the Library and Instructional Resources Committee and the Student Conduct Board for several years. Dr. Weber has shown his dedication to the students and staff by New accompanying students to the Eastern Analytical Symposium in Jersey and serving as the campus radiation safety officer. Dr. Weber has also kept himself busy judging for the Bucks County and Montgomery County Science Fairs. He has worked with Professor Larry Hepner on the PA Department of Environmental Protection project on On-Lot Septic System Management, where he had carried out chemical analysis on the \vaste water. When Dr. Weber needs his small break from science, he turns to his knowledge about trains and gets involved with editing and/or contributing to a number of publications relating to model train collecting. He currently has his own nationally renowned model train collection. He also enjoys spending time with his daughter Candace and granddaughter Caitlin. Dr. Weber has contributed much over the years to Delaware Valley College and its students. He has inspired many students to work hard and show their love for chemistry and science in general.. He has made an impact on the college in a positive way, and this is why the Cornucopia staffhas been dedicated tins yearbook to him. 4 fVeber L/karlie oZA*.
