Garner It is my pleasure to welcome you to Copiah-Lincoln Community College. I hope you enjoyyour visit to our campus. Co-Lin has a rich tradition of successful athletic programs. This tradition continues as our athletic teams and individual athletes excel in their competitive arenas. In addition to posting outstanding athletic accomplishments for the 1999-2000 season, several teams and individual students were recognized by the NJCAAforAcademicAll-American honors: LadyWolves Tennis Team - 2nd in the nation;WolfpackBaseball Team - 4th in the nation; LadyWolves Softball Team - 4th in the nation. In addition, the following students were named Distinguished Academic All Americans: Amanda Turner (Silver Creek) and Adam Different (Braxton); Academic All-Americans named were Sara Joy (Natchez), Christopher Dunn and Breck Honea (Magee) and Lance Newman (Brookhaven). We are extremely proud ofthese teams and individual athletes! In October of 1999, Co-Lin received the prestigious HalbrookAward for having the highest graduation rate among athletes in Mississippi two-year colleges during the 1998-99 season. We are very proud of that accomplishment. The many academic accomplishments by athletes and athletic teams convey a strong message about the priorities at Co-Lin. Duringthelasteightyears,Co-LinhasparticipatedinfiveNJCAARegionalTournaments.The 1998 and2000squadswontheRegion23 Division-II championshipandthe2000squadwonthe MACJC SouthStateandtheNJCAACentralDistrictandadvancedtotheWorldSeries.Casewas selectedCoachoftheYearfortheNJCAARegion23 in 1998 andagainin 2000.LouisvilleSlugger also awardedCasewithits excellence in coachingawardin 1998.
