Theacceptedpapersreflectthediversityofmodernperformanceengineering.The sessionscovered awiderangeoftopicsincluding robustnessanalysis,machine learn- ing,edgeandcloudcomputing,aswellasmoretraditionaltopicsrelatedtostochastic modelling,techniquesandtools.ThiswasthefirsttimethatEPEWwasheldinperson sincetheCovid-19pandemic.Whiletheoverallnumberofpapersandpresentationswas lowerthansomepreviousevents,itwasneverthelessanimportantstepinrenormalising workshopparticipationandsharinghigh-qualityworkinapositiveandproductiveenvi- ronment.Atotalof14fullpaperswereacceptedintheWorkshopaftergoingthrougha singleblindrevisionprocessthatguaranteedaminimumof3reviewsforeachpaper. WeweredelightedtohavekeynotepresentationsfromDr.XavierCostaPérezfrom NECLaboratoriesEuropeandProfAadvanMoorselfromtheUniversityofBirmingham. Thesetalksreflectedthestateofperformanceengineeringtoday.XavierCostaPérez’s talkconcernedAIforFuture6GSystems,coveringAI-drivenautomationforindustry verticals,O-RANnetworkdisaggregation,smartsurfacesandwirelesssensing.Aadvan Moorsel’s talk on Probabilistic Models for Blockchain presented a number of results givinginsightintothebehaviourandchallengesofblockchainsystems. Asworkshopco-chairswewouldliketothankeveryoneinvolvedinmakingEPEW 2022 a success: Springer for their continued support of the workshop series, the pro- gramme committee and reviewers, and of course the authors of the papers submitted, withoutwhomtherecouldnotbeaworkshop.Wewouldespeciallyliketoextendour thankstothestaffoftheMuseodelMarattheCastilloFortaleza,SantaPola,forhosting the workshop and providing an excellent environment and support.
