She is currently a nursing professor in the Georgian College/York University BScN program and critical care program, and is also an accomplished practitioner, consultant, researcher, and author. She received her bachelor of science in nursing at Lakehead University and her master of science in nursing from Queen’s University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in nursing at the University of British Columbia. She holds a national CNA credential in critical care as well as in medical surgical nursing. Her research focus is retention of critical care nurses. Dr. Goldsworthy has conducted and published research involving the use of simulation and personal digital assistants (PDAs) in nursing education. She is currently involved in the delivery of critical care simulation and the mentoring of other educators in this technology. Her recent publications and national and international presentations have concentrated on critical care, simulation, and technology in nursing. She also sits on a number of national and international nursing committees, including the national exam committee for the Canadian Nurse’s Association Medical/Surgical Nursing Certifi cation exam. She has edited or authored fi ve textbooks including all three editions of the Medical Surgical Nursing in Canada textbook, Simulation Simplifi ed: A Practical Guide for Nurse Educators, and S imulation Simplifi ed: Student Lab Manual for Critical Care Nursing. Leslie Graham, RN, MN, CNCC(C), CHSE, is a faculty member in the Collaborative Nursing Program at Durham College–University of Ontario, Institute of Technology.
