Dr Mawere also holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and B. A. (Hons) Degree in Philosophy from the University of Zimbabwe. He is currently Professor in the Department of Culture and Heritage Studies at Great Zimbabwe University. Before joining this university, Dr Mawere was a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe and at Universidade Pedagogica, Mozambique, where he has also worked in different capacities as a Senior lecturer, Assistant Research Director, Postgraduate Co-ordinator and Associate Professor. He has an outstanding publishing record of more than one hundred pieces of work which include more than twenty books and over ninety book chapters and papers in scholarly journals. His research interests include, but not limited to, development and knowledge studies, political anthropology, science and technology studies, environmental issues, African studies, coloniality, decoloniality, post-coloniality, African political systems, culture and heritage studies. Tapuwa Raymond Mubaya is a Lecturer and a PhD candidate at Great Zimbabwe University, Faculty of Culture and Heritage Studies. Before joining Great Zimbabwe University, Mr. Mubaya worked for National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe (NMMZ) for eight years as the Curator of Archaeology and Head of the Great Zimbabwe Monument Conservation Centre. Currently .d e vre he is heading the Department of Heritage Studies at Great se r sth Zimbabwe University. Mr Mubaya holds a Master of Arts Degree in g ir llA Heritage Studies from the University of Zimbabwe. He is also a .G member of the Association of Southern African Professional IC P R a Archaeologists (ASAPA) and the Zimbabwe Association of a g na Professional Archaeologists and related Disciplines (ZAPAD). His L .51 current research interests are focussed on heritage management and 0 2 © th conservation, cultural tourism and museums. Mubaya has written g iryp and published fourteen articles in internationally esteemed scholarly o C journals and is the co-editor of the legendary text: African Cultures, Memory and Space: Living the Past Presence in Zimbabwean Heritage. Richard Asante is a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, Legon. He holds a doctorate degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana under the Harvard University, USA/University of Ghana Split-PhD Programme. Dr. Asante is also the Head and Research Coordinator of the History and Politics Unit of the Institute of African Studies, responsible for initiating and coordinating teaching and research projects in the unit in particular and the Institute in general. His research interests span the political economy of African development, democratisation, and human security. In addition to teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in African politics and development, he has published on democracy and public sector governance, human security and decentralisation. Moussa Traoré holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Illinois State University (USA) and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the same university and he is currently completing an MA in Environmental Management Policy (EMP) at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) of the University of Cape Coast (Ghana). He is a member of African Studies Association (ASA), African Literature Association (ALA) and Modern Languages Association (MLA). He did some extensive work in Translation- Interpretation (French &English) and his research interest focusses on Pan Africanism, Diasporan Studies, Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development, Postcolonialism, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and English as a Second Language (ESL). He published a book titled: Intersecting Pan-Africanisms: Africa, North America and the Caribbean and several articles in academic journals. He has also presented papers at several international conferences. Ngonidzashe Marongwe is a lecturer in the History and Development Studies Department at the Great Zimbabwe University located in Masvingo City, Zimbabwe. He holds a PhD in African History from the University of the Western Cape (UWC), South Africa. He is a past Andrew Mellon Foundation Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Humanities Research, UWC (2009–2010 & 2012); and a SEPHIS fellow at the Centre for the Study of Culture and Society, Bangalore, India (2011). George Anderson Jnr holds a Bachelor of Education Arts and Master of Philosophy Degrees in the study of Religion and Human Values from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast-Ghana. .de Currently, he is a Principal Research Assistant in the Department of vre se Religion and Human Values, University of Cape Coast in the r sthg section of Ethics and Society. His research interests are in the areas of archaeological remains, museum objects, and material culture in general. Kojo Okyere is a Lecturer in the Department of Religion and Human Values at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, where he received his MPhil, and BA. He is currently pursuing his PhD in the same university. Kojo Okyere also has a certificate in Marketing, from Chartered Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom. He is a member of Ghana Association of Biblical Exegetes, and African Association for the Study of Religion. His current research interests are in the areas of bible, Africa and development, biblical hermeneutics, wisdom literature of the Old Testament, and the concept of work in the Old Testament. He has several articles in academic journals, and has presented papers at several international conferences. Fidelis Peter Thomas Duri is a lecturer in the Department of History and Development Studies at Great Zimbabwe University in Zimbabwe. He is a holder of a PhD in History from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has published a number of books and articles which focus on environmental issues, socio-cultural dynamics, subaltern struggles and politics in Zimbabwe during the colonial and post-colonial periods. Nkwazi Mhango received his B.A (CRS 4 yrs.) from the .de University of Winnipeg (Canada) majoring in Conflict Resolution vre se Studies. He is currently in his last year of his MA in Peace and r sthg Conflict at Arthur V. Mauro at the University of Manitoba (Canada) ir llA .G ready to jump into PhD program at the same centre in 2016. IC P Mhango studied law at the University of Dar Es Salaam R a ag Tanzania. He is currently waitingfor other four books to be out any time in 2015. They are Africa Reunite or Perish, Bornwith Voice (Poetry) REMOVE THIS, and Fikra zaKimapinduzi or Liberation Thoughts. Also, has contributed a chapter inAfrican Heritage book edited by Prof Munyaradzi Mawere also expected to be outsoon. Also, Mhango is a columnist to four local Newspapers in Tanzania namelythe English Daily Guardian, two Swahili dailies, Tanzania Daima and Nipashe andone Swahili Weekly, Dira ya Mtanzania to which he contributes weekly. He stillhas many manuscripts he is still working on among which is The Manifesto ofAfrica which he has authored in conjunction with prof. Mawere, The Song of the Oppressed, Song of Equality, Africa’s Best and Worst Managers and many more. Mhango speaks Swahili, English and French and other African local languages. Also, Mhango is the member of Writers’ Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (WANL), St. John’s NL, Canada. Blessed Magadzike was born in Mutare, Eastern Zimbabwe on the 10th of September 1974 and he completed his primary and secondary education there. He has a keen interest in aspects of Zimbabwe’s war histories and its legacies, especially that of memorialisation and representation. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Museums and Heritage Studies from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and was awarded a Mellon Scholarship .de that led to a Masters of Arts Degree in History from the University vre se of the Western Cape, also in South Africa. His MA degree also r sthg specialised in the same field of Museums and Heritage Studies. ir llA .G Blessed is currently a National Institute of Humanities and Social IC P Sciences (NIHSS) and the Council for the Development of Social R a ag Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) Fellow at the University n a L .5 of Cape Town, Historical Studies department where he is studying 1 0 2 © for a PhD. Blessed’s PhD research is an attempt to revisit the thg historical omissions that occurred in postcolonial Zimbabwe’s iryp oC representations of its colonial past. The study seeks to reconstruct Zimbabwe’s popularised historical narrations by offering the former war refugee a platform to add his/her voice to the existing historical grand narrative. He is also employed as a Curator of Archaeology responsible for the Archaeological Survey by the National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe and is based at the Museum of Human Sciences in Harare. Lovemore Mandima is the Director of National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe’s Southern Region which is headquartered at Great Zimbabwe National and World Heritage Site.
