ABOUT EDISON STATE COLLEGE
Edison StateCollegewasestablished in 1962 in Fort Myers, Florida, winterhometo such luminariesasHenryFord, Charles
Lindbergh, Harvey Firestone, andtheCollege's namesake, Thomas Edison. The tlrst classes were held ina formerelementary school
and drew 500 students.
Today, theCollege is a dynamic, multi-campus institution with an enrollment approaching 17,000 credit-seekingstudents. Nationally
recognized asa leader in innovativeeducation.
With campuses in Charlotte, Collierand Lee counties, and services in Hendryand Glades counties, studentscan find thecoursesthey
