The purpose of these Agreements between the Employer and the Union is to establish and maintain: (a) satisfactory working conditions and terms of employment for all employees who are subject to these Agreements; (b) a procedure for the prompt and equitable handling of grievances and disputes. 2. It is understood that the provisions of these Agreements apply equally to all employees and that the parties are committed to work together on joint initiatives that further support diversity in the workplace.
