Thescopeandrateofdruginnovationincrease.Doctorsnowfaceaprofessionallifetimeofhand- lingdrugsthatarenewtothemselves–drugsthatdonewthingsaswellasdrugsthatdooldthings better;anddrugsthatwerefamiliarduringmedicaltrainingbecomeredundant.
