S TO ATTICUS D. R. SHACKLETON BAILEY CAMBRIDGE LASSICAL TEXTS AND COMMENTARIES 7 CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS CICERO’S LETCT RS TO ATTICUS 48-45 B.C. BOOKS XI TO XIII EDITED BY D. R. SHACKLETON BAILEY The fifth and sixth volumes of Dr Shackleton Bailey’s edition of the Atticus letters (published before the third and fourth) contain a revised version of the text first published in the Oxford Classical Texts in 1961. Problems of dating in this part of the correspondence are severe, and prolonged study of them has caused Dr Shackle¬ ton Bailey to depart on occasions from the traditional chronology. Like their predecessors, these two volumes contain a text and selective apparatus, a trans¬ lation facing each page of text, a full com¬ mentary, and indexes.
