Someiconoclasticoratleastcontroversialtitlesareincluded,withthefullrealizationthatthe very mention of The Last Temptation of Christ causes some readers to see red. Others regard the novel as a profoundly reverent work, illustrating that what the majority wants is never the whole story, and that readers’ advisors should always be prepared with an alternative. Like other titles in the Genreflecting series, this book is organized according to genres, subgenres,andthemes,enablingreadersandthosewhoworkwiththemtoeasilyidentifyread-alikes andgroupsoftitlesthatwillappealtoparticulartastes.Beyondthesegroupings,readers’advisors should take note of the descriptions and designations within the annotations.
