Why is this Important?
When we do not see the Bible as the history book
it is, we are often left unprepared to answer
questions accurately
Must integrate it into our every waking moment,
use it as the basis for our thinking, living,
decision making
This is a Biblical Worldview!!
When we start with the Bible, God’s “History
Book of the Universe,” we develop a worldview
that is based on:
GOD’S word and not on Man’s word

“Supernaturalistic” (a God that is “bigger” than man)
Recognizes God’s involvement in the affairs of men
Starts w/God’s perfect revelation in the Bible

Relies on man’s ideas from outside the Bible to
explain the events of the past
In direct opposition to the Bible’s true history
Prevalent in our culture today and has even
infiltrated the church

Naturalistic (no God)
Promotes autonomous human reason
Ignores God’s written revelation in the Bible

Pre 1700’s, general consensus was 6,000 yr old
earth that God created as Genesis described
“Science” in the 1700’s (geology) led to new
ideas -- old earth, evolutionary, “millions
and millions of years”

Evolution vs Creation (Seven C’s of

Many Christians felt need to accommodate these
ideas, compromised God’s Word by
manipulating it to say things is does not say
Today, theologians, pastors, other church leaders
have accepted these ideas as fact
This view rejects Scripture’s clear teaching
and undermines Gospel message of the Bible
Evolution vs Creation (Seven C’s of
History)
Why is this critical??
If we can’t believe the Bible’s history (the Seven
C’s), starting in Genesis, why should we believe
the Gospel message it brings?
As Christians we must resolve to stand firm on
God’s Word in this area as we “determine to
contend for the faith” (Jude 3)
