Integrating Choosing Wisely®-based Clinical Decisions Support into the EMR In an era of limited resources, eliminating unnecessary and in some cases, harmful procedures has never been more important ABIM Foundation 2012 launched Choosing Wisely® with the goal of advancing a national dialogue on avoiding wasteful or unnecessary medical tests, treatments and procedures. They have partnered with more than 70 specialty societies and consumer reports to create patient-friendly materials to help educate the public on what care is best for them. Unnecessary use of advanced imaging is a major and expensive problem.
