Luis Rodriguez de la Sierra Editor vii CONTRIBUTORS Dr Robin Anderson is a training analyst in adult, child, and adoles cent analysis at the Institute of Psychoanalysis, where he was also chairman of the Child and Adolescent Analysis Committee. He is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, and since 1991 has been consultant psychiatrist at the Tavistock Clinic. Until 2000, he was the head of the Adolescent Department at the Tavistock Clinic. He retired from this post in 2003, but still continues to teach both trainees and staff there. He now concentrates on teaching and working in his private psychoanalytic practice. He has published papers on child, adolescent, and adult psychoanalysis and psycho therapy, and contributed numerous chapters to books. He has edited two books: Clinical Lectures on Klein and Bion and, with Anna Dartington, Facing It Out: Clinical Perspectives on Adolescent Distur bance. He is particularly interested in early object relationships and the way in which they manifest themselves in later life, especially during adolescence. He has applied this in working with suicidal young people. His interest also extends to the way in which psy choanalytic work with children contributes to adult analytic tech nique. ix
