Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 20 l3 (No. 30 of 2013), the State Government hereby, makes the lollowing rules relating to the method of recruitment to the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Chhattisgarh. namely :- RULES l. Short title and commenccmcnt.- ( 1) Ihese rules may be called the Land Acquisition. Fair Compensation Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority. chhattisgarh Establishment (Recruitment and conditions of Service) Rules, 201 7. (2) These rules shall come into force from the date of its publication in the oftlcial Gazette. 2. Definitions.- (1) ln these rules, unless the context otherwise requires.- (a) "Act " means Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in ['and- Acquisition, Rehabititation and Resettletnent Act' 2013( No' 30 of 2013); (b) "Appointing Authority" in respect of sen'ice means:- (i) for CLass-III and CIass-IV posts-the Presiding Officer, Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority; ii) ( Registrar-State Govemment; (iii) Office Superintendent- StateGovernment; (c) 'rAuthorit5t" mians Authority constituted under Section 5l of the Act; (d) "Committee" means a Selection Committee constituted in this behalf by the Authority; (e) "birect Recruitment" means recruitment by calling the candidate from Employment Exchange/ inviting applications through advertisements/ entertaining applications receipt by the Authority; (0 "Government" means the Government of Chhattisgarh; of (e) "Other Backward Classes "means the Other Backward Classes citizens as specified by the State Government from time to time; (h) "Presiding Officer" means the Presiding Officer appointed by the State Govemment under sub-section (1) of Section 52 of the Act; 42 (8) Bffi€rrd {tsr.rd. frci+ zzdfii u ort (i) "Schedule" means the Schedule appended to these rules; 0) "scheduled Castes" means the Scheduled Castes as specified in relation to this State under Article 34 I of the Constitution ol India; 'Iribes (k) "Scheduled Tribes "means the Scheduled as specified in relation to this State under Article 342 of the Constitution of lndia; (l) "Service" means the Land acquisition. Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Chhattisgarh Establishment; (m) "State" means the State of Chhattisgarh. 3. Scope and application.- Without prejudice to the generality of the prouirionr contained in the Chhattisgarh Civil Services ( General Conditions of Service; Rutes, 1961 these rules shall apply to all posts specified under column (2) of the Schedule attached to it. 4. Constitution of the Service.- Service shall consist of the fbllowing persons. namely:- ( 1 ) Persons, who at the commencement of these rules are hotding substantively or in an officiating capacity the posts specified in Schedule; (2) Persons, recruited to the service in accordance with the provisions of these rules. 5. Scale of pay, qualification, method of recruitment and promotion etc - The scales of pay attached to dilferent post in the service. the mirrimum quatifications iequired tbr recruitment to the post, method of recruitment und th. -"nn"r oiprornotion shall be such as specified in the Schedule' 6.
