No. F 5-02,n/III-Trans./2017. The following further draft to amend the Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicles Rule,
-
1994, which the State Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 138 of the Motor
Vehicles Act, 1988 (No. 59 of 1988), is hereby, published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 212 ofthe saidAct, for
the information ofall persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given thatthe said draft shall be taken
into consideration after the expiry of thirry days from the date of publication of this notice in the Official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person, before the specified period,
during office hours by the office of the Transport Commissioner, Government of Chhattisgarh, Departrnent of
Transport, Third Floor, C-Block, tndrawati Bhawan, Naya Raipur shall be considered by the Govemment of Chhattisgarh"
DRAFT AMENDMENT
In the said rules,
After sub-rule (10) of rule 202,the following shall be added, namely :-
"(1 1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazeffe, specifu rates of service charges for
various services such as weighing, data enrty, loading and unloading of goods, parking and other
related services at such border check posts or other check posts as specified in the said notification,
which shall be borne by the owner or driver ofthe vehicle and different rates ofservice charges may
be notified for different check posts."
