Circumspectly: Cautiously; with watchfulness every way; with attention to guard

sound in the faith; "Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of
men, that turn from the truth."

Apocrypha Warning
Catholics will tell you, "You Christians are missing part of the Bible. We have the rest of
it." This can throw people off, but it no longer has to. These false Catholic additions to
the Bible are commonly called the Apocrypha or sometimes the Deuterocanonical
books. This is a short treatise on WHY these books are not in the Bible.
What is the Apocrypha anyway?
The Apocrypha is a collection of uninspired, spurious books written by various
individuals. The Catholic religion considers these books as scripture just like a
Bible-believer believes that our 66 books are the word of God, i.e., Genesis to
Revelation. We are going to examine some verses from the Apocrypha later in our
discussion.
At the Council of Trent (1546) the Roman Catholic religion pronounced the following
apocryphal books sacred. They asserted that the apocryphal books together with
unwritten tradition are of God and are to be received and venerated as the Word of
God. So now you have the Bible, the Apocrypha and Catholic Tradition as co-equal
sources of truth for the Catholic. In reality, the Bible is the last source of truth for
Catholics. Catholic doctrine comes primarily from tradition stuck together with a few
Bible names. Catholics do not believe that the Bible is God's complete revelation for
man.
(From the Council of Trent (which was the 16th-century Ecumenical Council of
the Roman Catholic Church), 4th Session, April 8, 1546, "Decree Concerning the
Canonical Scriptures") we read:
"It has thought it proper, moreover, to insert in this decree a list of the sacred books, lest
a doubt might arise in the mind of someone as to which are the books received by this
council.[4]
"They are the following: of the Old Testament, the five books of Moses, namely,
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy; Josue, Judges, Ruth, the four
books of Kings, two of Paralipomenon, the first and second of Esdras, the latter of which
is called Nehemias, Tobias, Judith, Esther, Job, the Davidic Psalter of 150 Psalms,
Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, the Canticle of Canticles, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Isaias,
Jeremias, with Baruch, Ezechiel, Daniel, the twelve minor Prophets, namely, Osee,
Joel, Amos, Abdias, Jonas, Micheas, Nahum, Habacuc, Sophonias, Aggeus,
Zacharias, Malachias; two books of Machabees, the first and second. Of the New
Testament, the four Gospels, according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; the Acts of
the Apostles written by Luke the Evangelist; fourteen Epistles of Paul the Apostle, to the
Romans, two to the Corinthians, to the Galatians, to the Ephesians, to the Philippians,
to the Colossians, two to the Thessalonians, two to Timothy, to Titus, to Philemon, to
the Hebrews; two of Peter the Apostle, three of John the Apostle, one of James the
Apostle, one of Jude the Apostle, and the Apocalypse of John the Apostle.
"If anyone does not accept as sacred and canonical the aforesaid books in their
entirety and with all their parts, as they have been accustomed to be read in the
Catholic Church and as they are contained in the old Latin Vulgate Edition, and
knowingly and deliberately rejects the aforesaid traditions, let him be
anathema…"

With these words, the Roman Catholic Canon of Scripture finally was set, more
than 1,200 years after the Roman bishops, with the backing of Constantine,
arrogated to themselves authority over all the Christian church. This was the first
council in the history of the Western Church to officially define the Canon of
Scripture.
In support of the inclusion of 12 books of the Apocrypha in the canon, Trent pointed to
two regional councils which met under Augustine's leadership in Hippo (393 A.D.) and
Carthage (397 A.D.). The claims of Trent ignore the very significant fact that there
was an established canon of Scripture long before anyone met in church council
at Hippo or Carthage. There is a strong body of evidence that the Old Testament
canon found in the Christian Bible (non-Catholic) is the same as that used in
Palestine at the time of Christ's ministry. That canon did not include the
Apocrypha.

Neither Jesus nor any of the New Testament writers ever once quoted from the
Apocrypha. There are 263 quotations and 370 references to the Old Testament in
the New Testament and not one of them refers to the Apocrypha. One of the
modern definitions of apocrypha is: "Writings or statements of questionable authorship
or authenticity." An apocryphal story is one that probably never happened.
Consequently, a lot of folks seem to believe books known as the Apocrypha are
mythical works.

Why the Apocrypha Isn't in the Bible?

1. The apocryphal books were not permitted among the sacred books during the
first four centuries of the real Christian church (I'm certainly not talking about the
Catholic religion which is not Christian).
2. The Apocrypha contains fabulous statements which not only contradict the
"canonical" scriptures but themselves. For example, in the two Books of
Maccabees, Antiochus Epiphanies is made to die three different deaths in
three different places.
3. The Apocrypha includes doctrines in variance with the Bible, such as prayers
for the dead and sinless perfection. The following verses are taken from the
Apocrypha translation by Ronald Knox dated 1954:
Basis for the doctrine of purgatory:
2 Maccabees 12:43-45, 2.000 pieces of silver were sent to Jerusalem for
a sin-offering...Whereupon he made reconciliation for the dead, that they
might be delivered from sin.
Salvation by works & Indulgences:
Ecclesiasticus 3:30, Water will quench a flaming fire, and alms maketh
atonement for sin.
Tobit 12:8-9, 17, It is better to give alms than to lay up gold; for alms doth
deliver from death, and shall purge away all sin.
Mary was born sinless (immaculate conception):
Wisdom 8:19-20, And I was a witty child and had received a good soul.
And whereas I was more good, I came to a body undefiled.
4. It teaches immoral practices, such as lying, suicide, assassination and
magical incantation.
5. The book of Tobit promotes witchcraft. When the Pope of Rome reopened the
cannon he included this book that also promotes witchcraft.
In Tobit 6:8, the «angel» says:«As for the fish's heart and liver, you must burn
them to make a smoke in the presence of a man or a woman afflicted by a
demon or evil spirit, and every affliction will flee away and never remain with that
person any longer»
A little later, the «angel» instructs Tobias (regarding his marriage to Sarah)
Tobit 6:17-18: «When you enter the bridal chamber, take some of the fish's liver
and heart, and put them on the embers of the incense. An odor will be given off;
the demon will smell it and flee, and will never be seen near her any more».
6. The Apocrypha book of Sirach is a book about a false Messiah. His name was
Jesus Bar Sirach, and he lived approximately 200 years before Jesus of
Nazareth.
7. No apocryphal book is referred to in the New Testament whereas the Old
Testament is referred to hundreds of times.
8. Because of these and other reasons, the apocryphal books are only valuable as
ancient documents illustrative of the manners, language, opinions and history of
the East.
Wasn't the Apocrypha in the King James?
The King James translators never considered the Apocrypha the word of God but as
books of some historical value, the Apocrypha was sandwiched between the Old and
New Testaments as an appendix of reference material. This followed the format that
Luther had used. Luther prefaced the Apocrypha with a statement:
"Apocrypha--that is, books which are not regarded as equal to the holy Scriptures."

In 1599, TWELVE YEARS BEFORE the King James Bible was published, King James
said this about the Apocrypha:
"As to the Apocriphe bookes, I OMIT THEM because I am no Papist (as I said
before)..."

The Apocrypha began to be omitted from the Authorized Version in 1629.
Puritans and Presbyterians lobbied for the complete removal of the Apocrypha
from the Bible and in 1825 the British and Foreign Bible Society agreed. From that
time on, the Apocrypha has been eliminated from practically all English Bibles--
Catholic Bibles and some pulpit Bibles excepted.
Concerning the Dead Sea Scrolls, there may be some information in them that parallels
the Masoretic Text, but there are fables in them too. I went to see the scrolls a few
years ago with great expectation but found a bunch of fables. The best defense against
error in any form (fake Bibles and religions) is a solid knowledge of your King James
Bible. If you read it, forgeries become readily apparent.

father Clement of Alexandria (who Horn says in the video above was a friend of
the Apostle Paul, but Clement wasn’t even born till 150AD whereas Paul died
around 66-67AD. So how could they be friends when the Apostle Paul died about
83 years before Clement was born!!

Titus Flavius Clemens (c.150 - c. 215), known as Clement of Alexandria, was a
pagan pseudo Christian theologian and the head of the noted Catechetical School of
Alexandria. Clement is best remembered as the teacher of Origen. He united Greek
philosophical traditions with Christian doctrine and valued gnosis that with communion
for all people could be held by common Christians specially chosen by God. Though he
constantly opposes the concept of gnosis as defined by the Gnostics, he used the term
"gnostic" for Christians who had attained the deeper teaching of the Logos.[1] He
developed a Christian Platonism.[2] He presented the goal of Christian life as deification,
identified both as Platonism's assimilation into God and the biblical imitation of God.[1]
Like Origen, he arose from Alexandria's Catechetical School and was well versed in
pagan literature.[2] Origen succeeded Clement as head of the school.[2] Alexandria had a
major pseudo-Christian community, noted for its corrupted scholarship and its corrupted
copies of Scripture. Clement and Origen taught the allegorical (meaning like a fable
or parable) interpretation of Scripture in their Catechetical School of Alexandria
where they synthesized Neo-Platonism with false Christianity to produce a Pagan

Clement is sometimes falsely counted as one of the early Church Fathers. He
advocated a vegetarian diet and claimed that the apostles Peter, Matthew, and James
the Just were vegetarians.[3][4][5]

believes the next pope will take the name Pius XIII, and that “Peter the Roman”
