Compliance with this memorandum is mandatory. To the extent its directions are inconsistent with other AFGSC publications, the information herein prevails, IAW Department of the Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) 90-161, Publishing Processes and Procedures. The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement. See DAFMAN 90-161, for a description of the associated authorities. Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, through the publication OPR. This guidance memorandum revises AFI 90-201_AFGSCSUP, by changing the name of Reliability Inspections to Mission Reliability Inspection (MRI) and removed Readiness Exercises as a requirement for the MRI. This memorandum becomes void after one-year has elapsed from the date of this memorandum, or upon publishing of a new publication permanently establishing this guidance, whichever is earlier. STEVEN P. BORDING Colonel, USAF Inspector General Attachments: Attachment 1 AFI90-201_AFGSCSUP_AFGSCGM2021-01 ATTACHMENT 1 Guidance Changes 8.12. (Added) Mission Reliability Inspections (MRI). The 576 FLTS, 595 C2G, and 253 CACG operate under a unique mission environment and require verification of mission requirements similar to the NSI. In order to accomplish the verification, the following guidance will be adhered to for these units. (T-3). 8.12.1. (Added) Frequency. Units will receive a MRI on a frequency of 24 to 36 months. If units do not receive a satisfactory rating during the MRI cycle, the AFGSC/CC may restrict units from performing tasks until a re-inspection is successfully completed or AFGSC A-staff supervision and/or direction is provided (T-3). 8.12.2. (Added) Major Graded Areas. The following will be reviewed during the MRI as applicable to each unit as identified in Table 8.2. (T-3). Table 8.2.
