Mr. T. S. Shibin 04-1784-2011 Assistant Professor INTERNATIONAL AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE ANAND AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY ANAND – 388 110 ABSTRACT Agriculture has always played a vital role in sustaining human life. Now a day’s agriculture is not limited to farmers but has involved scientists, agronomists and has spread its aura all over. During 1950s and 1960s the government had to drastically increase the food production in India because several natural calamities led to severe food scarcity in the country, this resulted into use of hybrid seeds and replacement of organic and bio products with Chemical products. As time went by, extensive use of Chemical products end with land fertility lost and led to decrease in crop yield. At this critical juncture, bio products are useful supplement to chemical products. The Government of India has been trying to promote an improved practice involving use of bio- products along with chemical products so as meet the objectives of sustainable agriculture. Ocean Agro (India) Limited established in 1971. Company producing agro products like Packaging Materials, and irrigation equipments such as Drip and Sprinkler Systems. OAIL is leader in Bio-Technology, Bio- i Fertilizer, Bio-Pesticides, and Bio-Fungicides. The company had set up ultra-modern plant at Nandeshari near Baroda.
