Anextensive localityregisteris givenonpp. 1069-1126.Formorethan2,000namesof sites in sedimentary basins withinAustria, Greenwich co-ordinates(in italics wherever known in detail) andchronostratigraphic age aregiven, as well as pagenumberswhere theselocalitiesarereferredtointhesystematic part, inclusiveoffrequentcrossreferences. Pagenumbersare underlinedinthecaseof typelocalities.Thismakesthisregisterinto a never-ending source ofinformation.Twomaps ofAustriansedimentary basinsand some ofthemostimportant localitiesare given onpp. 1127 and 1128. This volumeconcludeswith acomprehensive listingof alltaxa referredtoin thesys- tematic part, aswell as all synonyms. Ataxon such as Glans (Centrocardita)aculeata rhom- boideacanbefoundunderbothspecies groupnamesaculeataandrhomboidea,butnot under thegenusgroupnames.For validtaxa andnames inheadings, thepagenumbersare given in bold. I checked outanumberofnames andfound no omissions. An indicationforthe accuracy withwhichthese indiceswere composed is thatin each case not only thepage numberisgiven, buteventhecolumn(leftorright, indicatedwith/I or/2)onthatpage. Over sixkilogrammes of dataareavailablenowto thescientificworld! My two ear- lier reviews ofparts 1 and 2 ended with an expression of myadmiration- here I shall refrainfromrepeating myself,but....Icanhearhimbreatheasigh ofrelief... it's done!
