"With Blood Legacy, Marianne Morea has taken the ordinary vampire romance to an incomparable new level. She tears down what you've always believed about vampires and makes you see them in an altogether different and interesting light. Through an economical use of flashbacks, she takes the reader 300 years back in time to the Spanish Inquisition and makes that time period as well as our own come alive with her clear, rich, and concise writing style...
...Be aware however that there are dark moments in this book. Oh, there are sweet moments as well, ones that elicit tears and sighs, but Blood Legacy is not a light read. If you pick this book up, expect adult language, fairly explicit love scenes, and a good deal of bloody violence. I would not recommend this book to young readers or to anyone who's easily shocked or nauseated by the sight or thought of blood and violent death.
Blood Legacy is simply the best vampire romance I've read in ages, and I really hope we'll get to see the super cast of supporting characters in future books. They all deserve a voice as eloquent as Blood Legacy is for Carlos and Trina. Bring them on, Ms. Morea! I'll be first in line to review them.
