2002-2003 CUMULATIVE INDEX Vol. 29, Issues 1-9 Cumulative Index Volume 29, Issues 1-9 2002-2003 Biology Digest Cumulative Index published yearly by Plexus Publishing, Inc., 143 Old Marlton Pike, Medford, NJ 08055. This means that words appear in alphabetical order as if each entry were one word. Spaces and hyphens do not affect the placement of the word. Here are a few examples. The entry B Vitamens comes after Butylated Hydroxy Tolluene (BHT) but before Bypass Activity. That is, “Bv...” comes after “Bu...” but before “By....” Here is another example. Diethylcarbamazine (DEC) will fall in between the two entries Diet and Health and Dieting, as “Dieth...” comes after “Dieta...” but before “Dieti....” Perfect alphabetizing also means multple-word entries may not be listed together. For instance, the entry Ant Colony appears on page 18, but the entry Ant Predators does not appear until page 21 because there are over 100 entries that come in between “Ante...” and “Antr....” Finally, remember to look up different forms of words. Don’t just look up Sense of Smell; also check out Sensory; don’t just look up Teeth, but also Tooth, etc. To help you determine which abstracts are found in which issue, here isa l ist of the range of abstracts for each month: September 2002 (Vol. 29, No. 1) 02/03-0001 to 01/02-0305 October 2002 (Vol. 29, No. 2) 02/03-0306 to 01/02-0610 November 2002 (Vol. 29, No. 3) 02/03-0611 to 01/02-0915 December 2002 (Vol. 29, No. 4) 02/03-0916 to 01/02-1220 January 2003 (Vol. 29, No. 5) 02/03-1221 to 01/02-1525 February 2003 (Vol. 29, No. 6) 02/03-1526 to 01/02-1830 March 2003 (Vol. 29, No. 7) 0)2/03-1831 to 01/02-2135 April 2003 (Vol. 29, No. 8) 02/03-2136 to 01/02-2440 May 2003 (Vol. 29, No. 9) 02/03-2441 to 01/02-2745 INFORMATION ON Statement of purpose.
